The BE operator-friendly ITALYCS®4 (Integrated
Temperature And Line Yields Controls) provides completely integrated
control of all critical components of a blown film line. Bud Smith,
President and CEO says, "These systems benefit from the experience
we have gained in the 15 years since the first ITALYCS
installation."
ITALYCS4 provides melt temperature monitoring
and control of temperature, bubble cage, line speed, nips and oscillating
table. The displays can switch between metric and imperial measurements
and from English to other languages. The systems have extensive configurable
alarming. Configurable validation ensures values entered by operator
are within limits. It has remote access via Ethernet modem or Internet
allowing BE to troubleshoot and monitor remotely. Four levels of security
are provided with a password security system.
Smith says, "With the increasing complexity of structures and operating
parameters ITALYCS4 reduces the guesswork
in producing blown film and relies on data and recipes. It allows
for repeatable, precise control. ITALYCS4
makes operating a multilayer coextrusion line almost as easy as running
a monolayer line."
ITALYCS4 for high tech 3-layer lines and
multilayer lines of 5-10 layers provides complete line control at
a stand-alone station and at a pendant-mounted station located near
the die or other designated location. ITALYCS4
integrates I-Flex gauge control software and provides real time and
historical trending of important process values. The two computers
of ITALYCS4, one in the stand-alone station
and one in the pendant-mount location serve as back up for each other.
A variety of options include ring blower control, barrel pressure
and melt pressure monitoring, change in pressure with alarm, V-guide
or second bubble cage control. Other levels of control are available
depending on your processing needs and budget (with a cylindrical
die or a Streamlined Coextrusion Die.)
