(February 24, 2006, Brampton, Ontario Canada) Bud Smith, President and CEO of BE (Brampton Engineering) is pleased to announce the appointment of Jim Stobie as Vice President of Sales with responsibilities for sales and direct marketing in North America. Stobie will serve as a member on the BE Management Team.
Smith says, "this appointment will strengthen BE's sales capability and allow Philip Kwok, Vice President of Sales to focus his attention on the global customer base outside Canada and the US."
Stobie comes to BE as a veteran of the film extrusion industry. Since 1985, he has held sales and marketing management positions. He has presented papers at TAPPI (Polymer, Laminations & Coatings Division) annual conferences, SME (Society of Manufacturing Engineers) Blown Film Extrusion Technology Seminar, National Research Council Blown Film Symposium. He is a member of PFMAC (Plastic Film Makers Association of Canada) and TAPPI.
